2016 Colors of The Year {Trend Alert}

Pantone color of the year (There's 2!)

For the first time ever, the company Pantone  has named two colors for 2016! Wow!

Rose Quartz and Serenity are our winners! Rose Quartz is a soft, warm shade of pink, while Serenity is a calm, cool shade of blue. These two colors can easily be integrated into your existing home palette for a perfect current touch.

Interior design tips

Wondering how to bring these colors into your home? Some notes from our principal designer, Cathy:

Both  of these colors are soothing, inviting, and easy to add to your homes' interior in just a few quick steps. I recommend you start with accent objects, like a throw pillow or tabletop objects.

If you are a neutral palette type person, Rose Quartz and Serenity will add a pop of soft color without being overbearing. Add it to your ivories, taupes and grays, with a linen or velvet pillow in Rose Quartz. Or, incorporate Serenity through fresh or dried blue hydrangeas.

If you are a deep color person, Serenity will look great against navy, cocoa brown or dark green backgrounds. Add a hint of Rose Quartz in a ceramic container or through a small vase of roses.

I absolutely love Benjamin Moore paint, both for their quality and their color selections. Wow, this kitchen, in the color of the year "Simply White," is simply stunning!

Some of our personal faves include "Hale Navy" seen on the bathroom cabinets below and "Chelsea Gray" on the built-ins below.

When we were searching the world wide web for more pics of Benjamin Moore's paint in real homes, we came across this extensive source at Home Bunch website. Two more samples below of the "Simply White." Thanks, Home Bunch, for the fabulous pics!

And don't forget fashion....
