Featured Texas Artist {Rob Hankinson}

New Artist - Rob Hankinson

Now that we have doubled our storefront square footage, we have more walls to display beautiful works, and we are excited to  introduce you to new artists!

Rob is an Austin artist who specializes in Hill Country landscapes done in oil. He and his wife, Jan, live in Austin.

We first learned about Rob's work through our good friends Nancy and Reagan Simpson, who  own several of Rob's originals in their home.

Rob's works come in various sizes, starting with 6x8 inches, not including the frame.

Each of Rob's works has a story behind it. Pictured center here is "The Path" done of Rob's favorites trail around Lady Bird Lake.

The top painting is titled "Vaya Con Dios" and was inspired while the artist was in San Miguel, Mexico, for a destination wedding.

The bottom painting is titled "Road to Muleshoe" and depicts Muleshoe Recreational Park, fifty acres on Lake Travis covered in bluebonnets each spring.

Round Top Church On The Square

We love this piece! It was inspired by the historic church at Round Top Square, and Rob says "the shadows and half tones on the front of the building are my favorite part." This 12x12 is $475.

Rob's use of color and texture make is work very appealing. Come in and see it for yourself!

Pictured here in our studio, our principal designer Cathy styled Rob's work on these shelves with other accessories. This piece is titled "Gentle Bend" and is 6x8. Don't you love the custom hutch, too? It would look great in an entryway, dining room, or kitchen.

We hope you'll come by and see Rob's work in person. This Texas artist is quite talented! For directions to our studio and hours that we're open, click here.
