bedroom bliss {kids' edition}

Many of our renovate blog readers are moms and grandmothers, and as summer approaches, they're getting ready to have kids at home for MANY more hours during the day.

With that in mind, today we're seeking inspiration from the world wide web (specifically pinterest, of course!) It might be time to freshen up your kiddo's rooms, either the decor or storage options, or both. And at the end we'll share a fun activity for those summer days ahead.

We love that this room feels pretty gender-neutral. The rug, comfy chair, and accent wall all come together to make quite a statement - and that light fixture, wowza!

Teenage Glam

What a great grown-up feel the monogrammed pillows bring to this teen girl's bedroom, with the accent wall keeping the room young and playful.

Dudes' Decor

Above, great colors and simple additions like large initials over each bed make bold statements but keep it budget-friendly. Below, we love the wall hangings and the practical, easy-to-access storage.

Simple Storage

Practical, clean storage, could be on a back porch or in the garage. Most supplies needed found at a local hardware store, such as Home Depot.

Let's Play!

Summertime doesn't have to be filled with afternoons wondering what to do with your kiddos - or grandchildren, or someone you're babysitting, or whoever. Thanks to google, pinterest, and other wonders, thousands of activity ideas are now at our fingertips. This glow-in-the-dark slime looks like a blast - directions on this website. Or, if you're looking for some DIY artwork, we love this stamp art project - using potatoes as a stamp! Click here for the details.

Thanks for touring with us! Happy Sweet Summa-time!
