retreat to the master suite {renovation house}

Welcome back to the renovation house! This master bedroom and bath were transformed from a 1950s feel to up-to-the-minute style & space. Our designer Cathy worked closely with Haley Howell, an interior design student at the University of Texas at Austin, to reconfigure the entire space. The project included moving walls, relocating closets, plumbing, and generally transforming the feel of the space.

The original master bath from 1956 was cramped by today's standards, so it was completely changed. Italian porcelain and a neutral paint color instantly update the look. Cathy took an antique dresser and added the double sinks with marble counter top. Renovate's master painter Brigitte painted the piece and the original hardware remains. The beveled mirrors and new light fixtures add glamour to this practical but stunning space.

This claw-foot tub and antique mirror piece really make the master bathroom re-do spectacular.

Plenty of space in this shower with multiple shower heads and built-in bench.

This wardrobe was added to the bathroom for extra storage and painted by Brigitte Howell with a unique finish and glass knobs.

Drawer space was added for storage surrounding the sink area.

Thanks for touring with us!
